Who else is watching this in 2024 laughing at the “technology”. I guess for 1980 this was unheard of and inconceivable. Now there are no gauges on modern aircraft at all (all glass cockpits), no need for a flight engineer, no need for a navigator. Everything now done by a few microchips the size of your fingernail. With today’s technology, you can easily program the airplane to do everything on its own (including landing and parking). Some even have programmed communications with the tower for routine traffic operations.

in 2024 we have electric cars with tablets and computers with 1tb memory on SSD but we dont have concorde and another similar jet planes giving amazing experiences that jet fighter pilots have😢 and that was over 40 years ago.

apparently 50 021 failed and was rescued by 33 111 very prototypical of the 1980s on the waterloo-exeter line,but a pity for its owners.

Taking Concorde out of service was sheer vandalism.
